What towns do you service?
Currently our service area includes Glastonbury, East Hartford, Portland, Wethersfield, Marlborough and parts of surrounding towns.  Outside of these areas a travel fee may apply.

Will I be assigned a specific pet care provider?
YES!  You will have a primary Pet Care provider assigned to you, as well as a back-up provider.  This allows for uninterrupted coverage and redundancy for any scheduling conflicts.  You will be notified prior to arrival if your back-up provider will be caring for your pet(s) that day.

How do I decide which service to book?
Paw-Pros offers 30 min or 60 min Walks and 90 min or 2 hour Paw-Ventures.  Visit times begin when we enter the home and ends when we depart; not when the walk begins.  The visit includes time getting to know your pet, leashing up, feeding, refreshing water, drying off, or driving if included in the service.  We recommend booking a visit that is longer than the length of the walk time you would like for your dog(s).  This will account for the work at the beginning and end of the service.

How many dogs do you walk at once?
We will walk up to 2 dogs, from the same family, at one time; providing you and your walker are comfortable doing so; otherwise they will be walked separately.  Safety leads are always used, in addition to your own, which your walker will provide.

My dog is very strong and pulls when we walk. 
For your dog’s safety and comfort, we highly recommend the Two Hounds Design Freedom Harness or the the  Gentle Leader, with a 6’ lead.

How does Paw-Pros access my home?
We require 2 means of access to your home and encourage the use of a lockbox for keys. This allows the key to stay on premises and provides an alternative to garage or keyless door codes. If a lockbox is not used, we recommend another on-site hiding place for the key.

How do I know Paw-Pros is safe?
All Paw-Pros care providers
•    Are Certified in Pet First Aid & CPR
•    Are Insured Pet Care Providers
•    Have passed a reference check and a federal background check
•    Are trained in positive reinforcement & humane pet handling
•    Always use a safety lead; in addition to your own

Can I have my friend or relative help with pet sitting?
No, we do not allow job sharing because we guarantee our services. We’re unable to do that when we share pet services with other people who have not been trained by us and can’t be insured under us.  Some exceptions apply; please call or email us for more details.

What type of clients can’t you take on?
We don’t accept dogs that have a history of aggression or have bitten a human or another dog.  All dog(s) clients must be up to date with their vaccines and flea / tick prevention.  Proof of their rabies vaccinations will be required prior to booking any service.
